Our Mission and Vision
Founded in 2004 by McGill University Engineering and Finance graduates, BBT`s mission remains firmly in place:
To develop the next generation of problem solvers who are equipped to become lifelong learners through engaging & effective Online Private Tutoring as well as Academic & Skill-Based Workshops.
We aim to achieve that mission though our deep commitment to the community and partnerships with schools & organizations. Our approach is personalized to fit students’ specific needs and our workshops are curated to be in synergy with our partner schools. This local, deep focus has allowed our company to become one of the leading tutoring companies in Montreal. Our success depends fully on the trust and confidence of our partners, parents and students. As such, customer service & results are entrenched in all aspects of our business.
Another objective of BBT is to make learning more accessible, simpler and fun. Our tutors accomplish more than academic support. They mentor and build confidence in our students, accompanying them on their learning journey.

Every student learns in a unique way. They are driven and engaged uniquely as well. Our personalized online private tutoring service responds to the needs of each of our learners. Whether it’s homework help, preparation for quizzes or enrichment, our teachers are prepared to cater to our students. We serve Grades 4 to Cegep in all subjects ranging from Math and Sciences to History and Languages.
Our service includes session summaries so that parents can stay up to date on progress and areas of improvement.
Motivation, perseverance and accountability are key components of our Online Private Tutoring service. Students benefit from regular weekly 1-1 support offered by our high caliber tutors. Academic Workshops
Our academic workshops focus on core subjects like math, science, history, physics and chemistry.
Mid Year & Final Exam Review Sessions
Offered in preparation for mid year and final exams, these in-person group sessions reduce anxiety and boost student confidence. Our passionate, Quebec-based certified teachers present students with step by step solutions to key examples, provide them with problem solving strategies and are always open to answering their questions. Experts in the Quebec curriculum, we curate and custom build all of our materials.
We work closely with our school partners to gather feedback from their teachers, so that we personalize our content to fit the needs of their students. Students benefit from a fresh new perspective all while being aligned to their teacher’s vision and feedback. We have served over 30,000 students over the years. Our average increase in student grades ranges from +5-20%. These workshops are a great complementary resource for students in addition to the outstanding work already done by their teachers.
Skill-Based Workshops
As technology continues shaping society, core skills focused around emotional intelligence, mindset and problem solving will become increasingly important for students to succeed in their careers and lives. We look forward eagerly and are proud to offer and continue developing workshops centred around these crucial skills.
Literacy Workshop
This workshop provides students with 6 simple and effective strategies when it comes to reading comprehension. These strategies can be applied across any subject. The sessions include theory, videos, engaging individual and group activities.
Study Skills & Executive Function Workshop
Execution, organisation and time management are important skills anyone can improve upon. The same applies to students and the challenges they face. This workshop explores goal setting, time management and organization as well as preparing and studying for exams.
Problem Solving & Critical Thinking Workshop
Perhaps one of the most important skills to develop, problem solving will surely be a cornerstone of tomorrow’s leaders. We are currently developing our Problem Solving Framework that students can apply to any type of situation or problem they will face.
Extra Resources
In addition to our workshops, we offer extra resources. Some of these include additional practice problems and solutions, online video solutions and How-To Videos. We continue looking to expand our resource library and share with our students as it is developed.
